Don C. Larson has returned home. He earned his Ph.D. from Utah State University in 1988, with bachelors and master's degrees in sociology from Brigham Young University. He also studied at Arizona State University and at the Population Institute of the East-West Center at the University of Hawaii. Dr. Larson has worked doing social and demographic research for a private firm and as a continuing education administrator. He has spent the last few years as Dean of Instruction and as a faculty member on the San Juan Campus of College of Eastern Utah.

Dr. Larson is on the executive board of the Utah National Parks Council of the Boy Scouts of America, serves as a Scout Chaplain at summer camp, and visits Scout camps as a national camp inspector. He and his wife, Rebecca – an elementary school teacher – are parents of nine children and grandparents of 18 superb and intelligent children.
