Elizabeth Sutton (Ph.D. candidate, University of California, Santa Barbara) is the Curator of the Museum of Anthropology. Her main areas of interest are Archaeology and Museums, and she is currently a Ph.D. Candidate at the University of California, Santa Barbara, specializing in Pacific Coast Archaeology.  Her dissertation project focuses on community and household organization at Nimatlala, a historic period Chumash village on Santa Cruz Island, CA.

Elizabeth's research interests also lie in Museum Anthropology and Cultural Heritage Management.  She has held positions with the Repository for Archaeological and Ethnographic Collections at the University of California Santa Barbara, the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History, the National Park Service, and the John Cooper Archaeology and Paleontology Center.  Subjects taught include Intro to Museum Studies and Museum Development.
