Shannon Browne is Clinical Assistant Professor and Assistant Practicum Director in the Department of Sociology, Social Work & Anthropology. He joined the department at Utah State University in the fall of 2005. He received his J.D. from Ohio State Law School in Columbus, Ohio in 1996 and his MSW from Columbia University in New York in 2001. He has practiced clinical social work in numerous settings including a residential treatment facility for substance-abusing adolescents involved in the juvenile justice system, a child guidance clinic, and a crisis program for children and adolescents.

Undergraduate courses taught include Child Welfare, Social Work Practice, and Advanced Field Practicum.
